Walk the path around the lake

• You can either walk the full loop that is 6km (1.5 hours) or take a short stroll to get the best views of the lake.

Take a boat to Blejski Otok (Bled Island)

• You can either take a small row boat or a pletna, a hand-made wooden boat, which is driven by a pletnar, a boat rower, who oars standing up. 

Visit the Bled Castle

• Bled Castle, the oldest in Slovenia, dates back to the 11th century. Up there you get the most beautiful views of the lake.

EAT a Blejske kremšnita

• The original Blejske kremšnita can be found at the Park Hotel, where you can sit on the patio with views of the lake.

If the hunger bug gets you, Blejska Hiša is the place to go

• This restaurant makes your meal taste like it is homemade. I can't suggest this one enough!

After driving all day, I'm sure all you'll want to do is relax back at the hotel. Get yourselves checked in and rested up for another day of exploring.

Cafe Schwarzenberg

• Is a hidden gem among tourists. This cafe has all the features of a traditional coffee house and dates back to 1861.

Cafe Central

• One of the more famous coffee houses in Vienna, this one is loved by locals and tourists. It offers beautiful interior architecture with a side of coffee
  

Aida Cafe Konditorei

• A local favourite with reasonable prices and a great selection of coffee and cakes

• This brewery is the entire package. As you're eating you traditional Austrian dish, you can test out their homemade beers!

Figlmüller

• Home to the biggest wiener schnitzel in the city. Sometimes can be very busy but definitely worth the visit

• Located in Vienna's oldest cellar vault, this restaurant offers authentic austrian foods paired with local wines and beers.

• The Hofburg Palace is massive with a long list of things to see and do so you could easily spend a full day here. Some things to see:

Kunsthistorisches Museum

• Experience one of the world's foremost museums! Let yourself be enchanted by works spanning five millennia, from Ancient Egypt to the modern era.

St. Stephen’s Cathedral

• From the Kunsthistorisches Museum, it is a scenic walk past the Opera House and along Karnter Strasse to get to St. Stephen’s Cathedral

Historic Center of Vienna

• The Ferstel Passage is a short but beautiful covered arcade lined with boutique shops and cafes. It is also located in the old town.

Most of the sights in the old town (Innere Stadt) are within walking distance of one another.

The metro is useful for getting into the old town and to travel across the old town.

There is also a tram that runs along the Ringstrasse. This can be a scenic way to see the beautiful buildings that line the Ringstrasse in the evening, when they are illuminated.
